Student-Parent Focused Coaching Support

"I will meet you where you are and support you to get where you want to be." - Waukecha Wilkerson, Founder of Won't She Do It

About the Founder

Waukecha Wilkerson is a single mom of 3 amazing children, Sacramento State University graduate (BA in Psychology), who is also a transformational empowerment coach and fierce student-parent advocate. Through her direct lived experience as a single student-parent, Waukecha is a testament to the life-changing power of strategic goal setting, focused execution, and what’s possible when you partner with others for your own success. Through her determination to overcome insurmountable adversity along her educational journey, Waukecha was inspired to help other students who were facing similar challenges to strategize, set goals, celebrate small wins, and persevere past difficult situations through self-empowerment and community. In 2019 she launched Won't She Do It and since it's inception, Waukecha has worked with a number of colleges, non-profits, and individuals to build and restore the confidence of countless student-parents to expand their mind on what is possible and reach their definition of success. Waukecha has over 5 years of experience as a student-parent mentor, she is an ICF Associate Certified coach, and has been featured as an expert in student-parent policy and advocacy for Ascend at the Aspen Institute, Imaginable Futures, ECMC, CSPAN and for a number of national organizations and colleges. In 2020, Waukecha was named the Huntington Beach Student Business Woman of the Year. She also currently serves as the Board President for Project Self-Sufficiency, a non-profit serving low-income student-parents and their families, in Orange County, California, with wrap-around services as they pursue postsecondary education.
